Breaking Barriers : Fostering Inclusive Environtment
Join us to embrace Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in the STEM industries! Firstly, we have a talk by Ms Juvena Huang, aka The Wandering Wasp, where she shares her personal journey navigating male-dominated industries, from engineering to extreme sports.
Next, we share the efforts in the IET to encourage brilliant women who are passionate about STEM. Lastly, we have a panel discussion which invites outstanding women professionals to share their career journey so far and perspective in the DEI topic.

Solo Ride from Singapore to Europe: A Woman’s Journey of Courage, Connection, and Empowerment
Ms Juvena Huang
Juvena Huang, known as The Wandering Wasp, is a solo adventurer, storyteller, and advocate for diversity and inclusion. In 2015, she embarked on a 44,000 km overland journey from Singapore to the Czech Republic on her scooter, challenging conventions and breaking stereotypes along the way. A passionate proponent of sustainable and mindful tourism, Juvena organises bespoke tours in the Himalayas, where she creates space for personal growth through transformative adventures. During the offseason, Juvena gives talks that inspire others to embrace adventure, challenge biases, and support inclusive growth for communities.
