Susanna Kass is a Data Center Advisor on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. In this role, she represents the UN Sustainable Development team by engaging private sector leadership, academic researchers, and public institutions to jointly promote sustainable energy within the international Data Center sector and global verticals industry. Through mutually beneficial collaboration, the goal setting, speaking engagements, and projects further the vision of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Kass is one of the researchers for The Clean Energy For Biden (now named Clean Energy for America), her focus is to provide scientific based evidence for America to revamp Carbon Neutral infrastructure and to support the new enactment to the Paris Agreement.

Kass is an Energy Fellow, lecturer at school of engineering at Stanford University and Cornell University Energy Systems Institute. She is a guest lecturer at The National University of Singapore. She works with the researchers at IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), the Energy Sustainability Institute at Cornell University, MIT, Columbia University, UCLA, UC Berkeley, SDSU, NMSU to foster research and cooperation.

Kass is the BOD at InfraPrime, a Switzerland startup, European Union Award winner to lead the standard for clean energy on cloud, edge, and colocation data centers. Previously, Kass held senior IT critical data center operation role in designing and building over 200 Megawatt of data centers sites across 17 countries for over 30 years, and concurrently she worked 12 years in the Clean Energy sector originating over 2 Gigawatt of Clean Energy projects as EVP of Innovation and Global Cloud Data Center Operations at BASELAYER, Inc., COO, eBay International, General Manager, APAC Data Center Operation, VP, Global Data Center Business Operation, Head of Innovation at NextEra Energy. Her client includes Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, John Hopkins University, Akamai, YouTube across the globe. Kass is an inventor, she holds patents in clean energy design, advanced modular technology for grid connected data center.

Kass was DCD award recipients in Energy Innovation for 7 years, she was selected to be one of the Energy Smart judges for DCD Awards since 2017 and the 2020 winners include Microsoft. Kass was the recipient of numerous Entrepreneur awards, her distinction based on her design and net positive impact results; as a member of Power 100, and a member of Climate 50, the topmost influential Climate Change leaders and Net Positive ESG Impact for the ICT sector.

Susanna graduated from Stanford Executive Graduate School of Business, Kass is a guest lecturer in Sustainable Design at School of Engineering at Stanford University. Kass graduated with an MBA from Pepperdine University, she holds the Distinguished MBA Alumna Award from Pepperdine University. Kass graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Business Administration Marketing from SDSU, she holds the Presidential Entrepreneur Award from SDSU and Distinguished Entrepreneur Award from NMSU in her humanity work. Kass mentors over 500 STEM female youths.
